When your friend (let’s call her Jane) sends you a text message, wouldn’t you like to hear that message read out loud in Jane’s voice? Well, that technology may be coming soon, particularly on APPLE devices, according to APPLE’s patent application (US2023/0051062) that published this year.
This is not about voice messages, but rather text messages that can be read in personalized voices. The technology works by first creating a voice model through several speech inputs. That voice model can then be shared with friends or contacts, where it will be used to audibly read text messages from the sender, in the sender’s voice.
